Is there a LINUX tool that allows you to view a collection of servers as a cluster?

Bash and ssh are all you need, with a bit of persuasion.First make a small text file with just the names of the hosts you want to access, and copy the script below to a file named u201ccollectu201d.

Chmod x the shell script. When you run collect, it runs a command line for you on each of the hosts. Specifics:Put valid names for your servers one-per-line in a file, letu2019s call it u201call-nodesu201d.

web1web2web3db1db2mgr1Then copy the following into a file named u201ccollectu201d. Itu2019s OK with me if you add a line saying you got the script from me. :-)#!

/bin/bash now"_"date %j_%Tfilenameecho $* $now|sed -e 's,/,_,g' -e 's/ //g' -e 's/>/_gt_/g' -e 's//g' -e 's/|//g'for h in cat all-nodes; do -d $h || mkdir $h ; ssh -n $h $* > $h/$filename 2

You can have a u201cwebu201d directory, a u201cdbu201d directory, and an u201callu201d directory, and have different hostnames in the various all-nodes files. Change to the right directory, run u201ccollect some-commandu201d, and you get the output of some-command put into a file down in the subdirectory for the specific host it ran on.Anytime you want, change into this directory and run .

/collect commandlineHereu2019s an example. Letu2019s say we have an directory with just the all_nodes file:host_anhost_bHaving never run this before, you then run: ./collect mount -aThat will result in two new directories and two new files being created - one for each host, for example:host_a/mount-a_277_14:22:19nhost_b/mount-a_277_14:22:20The output from running the u201cmount -au201d command on each node is text within the above files.

You can now use grep, sed, and any number of other Linux command line tools to work with the outputs

After we create a collection in Java then what?

I am by no means a java programmer, but I believe I might be able to help (sort of). Collections are basically vehicles for storing multiple items of homogenous data (i.

e. objects that share the same type or implement the same interface). Say you have a dog class and you need to store 10 dog objects somewhere: you can do it with a collection.

The difference between the difference type of collections affects what you can do with the collection. With an ArrayList or an array, you can access the items by index very quickly. So if you have ArrayList dogs new ArrayList();and you have stored 10 dogs in the array list you could get the name of the third dog by doing something likeString thirdDogsName dogs.

get(2).getName(); //Note that the first dog is at 0, //second at 1, third at 2, etc. up to 9 where the 10th dog is.

No matter which dog you want to access, if you know its index, you can access it very quickly (in computer science this is called an O(1) operation). What an ArrayList cannot do superquickly is resize itself. So if you want to add an extra item beyond its capacity, internally it has to create a new array that is bigger, copy all existing elements over, then insert the new item at the end.

The difference between the collections is both in the operations they have available and in the efficiency with which you perform a given operation. A LinkedList provides a good contrast with the array list. A LinkedList does not allow you to access any element you know the index of as quickly as an ArrayList does -- you have to keep traversing the nodes until you get there.

Thus accessing the fiftieth dog in a LinkedList will take (more or less) 50 times as long as it would take to access the first dog. What a linked list allows that an array list doesn't is rapidly adding new elements, inserting them between existing elements etc.If you want to learn more about these ideas, you should familiarize yourself with Abstract Data Types (which is a general CS topic and not limited to just Java).

You can check out this article on Wikipedia: Abstract data type . At first I would just skip down to the Examples section and look up details on each individual type -- the article is rather advanced

Is the "subconscious mind" really an intelligent consciousness or more like a collection of blind mental programs? If I understand many psychologists correctly, it is just a useful metaphor for something nobody quite understands.

Is this correct?

Take a motor neuron: it controls muscle fibers arranged in bundle. Other motoneuron control adjacent bundles.

With afferent connections providing information on the state of tension of the bundles, they have a relative autonomy. All of these motoneurons is coordinated by other neurons; they harmonize the function of the whole muscle. Themselves are controlled by an additional level, where contraction of the muscle in a precise movement is associated with relaxation of antagonist muscles.

This organization continues to be layered. How would you describe the capacity of neurons controlling primary motoneurons? You give them willingly a slightly higher level of intelligence' than the primary motor neuron, is not it?

They coordinate a more complex action, define a more elaborate motor concept. The mind is a pyramid of these successive levels of organization. Neurons, first staged within specialized analysis centers (different sensory apparatus) then make connections inter-centers for increasing integration until conscious levels.

This is a summary of the theory of the Stratium resumed and extended in the book Diversium (mind is a generator of diversity). The mind is therefore not a collection of micro-robots, except at its most basic level. It is a succession of levels organizing them.

The intelligence of the system is not proportional to number of neurons involved but number of constructed levels. It is a permanent task of organization stimulated by events and attention (the focus of superior retro-control).Stratium is not only a neuronal theory.

It explains the different subconscious features, biographical frame, invisible but permanent body physiology influence, the organization of the highest concepts in confrontational and stormy assembly. This allows to understand our behaviour discontinuities. Artificial intelligence conducted by sophisticated algorithms, but of same level, is predictable; the human being is not.

So, you have your answer: there is no discontinuity between the subconscious and the conscious, simply a relative independence of the levels concerned, necessary for the stability of the system. The subconscious starts its organization to a completely stupid and programmed level, but raise then in such a way that it allows consciousness of access to intelligence that we know it. The subconscious is the support of particular identity that will take this intelligence.

Concepts caught by the consciousness in its environment are less owners. Conscious space can be seen as an area of discussion between the foreign evaluations and his own subconscious identity, rough at the beginning of its maturation then becoming remarkably intuitive over the years
