1. Dogs keep scratching at sliding door, how can we make them stop?

My dog did this too, although ours was not a glass door. He would get it all muddy. I would open the door and tell him no scratching. and then close it again. I never let him in unless he WASNT doing it, and after a few days he stopped. maybe put a bell out there and teach them to nose that to get in? It takes time, sometimes, but dogs are smart and will catch on. Hope this helps

You can buy a fake wasps nest and hang it up. The live wasps will think another swarm has taken up residence, and they will leave your patio and set up house somewhere else. Push the door in toward the latch side as far as you can which will ease the tension on the latch and then tap the door around the latch with the back of a screwdriver or something light like that. The vibration should get the hook to release where it is currently stuck, do this carefully so you do not crack the glass. Once out you should spray the parts with WD-40 or some other lubricant and confirm the mechanism is loose before re-locking the door.
