Introduction to Lyrics Video

1. Lyrics in Spanish Language of lids

Chorus Ayer fuiste pujante y altiva, en la lucha sangrienta y tenaz; mas ya, patria te cies la oliva; y hoy tu gloria se funda en la paz. I Patria ilustre!

2. I'd Love to Lay You Down of lyrics

"I'd Love to Lay You Down" is a song written by Johnny MacRae, and recorded by American country music artist Conway Twitty. It was released in January 1980 as the first single from the album Heart & Soul.

The song was Twitty's 24th number one on the country chart. The single stayed at number one for one week. The song has sold 300,000 digital copies since becoming available for download.

In 2002, Daryle Singletary released a cover version which went to number 43 on the same chart. Conway's version of this song features an extremely unusual series of key changes: the song progressively lowers in key instead of the musical standard of changing keys upwards. Chris Young references this song in his single "I Can Take It from There".

Content of lyrics

Raine Maida stated that the lyrics "focus upon how people tend to treat each other as machines in our day-to-day life. We really need to take stock and focus our energy towards those in our lives that matter. Sometimes it seems as if we need an oil change.

" The song, as with most songs from the Spiritual Machines album, follows a theme concerning a futuristic artificially intelligent and robotic society, as described in Ray Kurzweil's 1999 book The Age of Spiritual Machines. In both the original release of the song and its second release as part of OLP's A Decade compilation album in 2006, the song is immediately preceded by a track entitled "R.K.

2029", which is a narration from Kurzweil's book read aloud by Kurzweil himself.

9. Lyrical and musical style of lyrics

Musically the band mixes hardcore punk in the style of bands like Black Flag with alternative rock and grunge elements to create their post-punk/post-hardcore sound.

The lyrics to their songs focus mostly on social matters and tend to be dark and/or satirical. In a Q&A Session on the website of his other project Self Defense Family, Kindlon has stated that he has no pre-written lyrics for his bands and rather writes the songs' lyrics while in the studio: Completely different people write the instrument portion of the music. Leads to a very different feel, so, very different lyrics.

Also, I write everything in the studio. So, theres no bank of lyrics I pull from. This is made to order, not buffet.

It is a straight-ahead rocker that follows simple hard-rock formulas, trading heavy riffing with guitar fills and solos, "Caught in a Dream" was the album's second single and featured irreverent, tongue-in-cheek lyrics such as "I need everything the world owes me / I tell that to myself and I agree".

Written and composed by Daniel Balavoine, the song deals with various situations of war and misery in the Third World (at that time, the famine ravaged the Ethiopia and there were some conflicts as the war in Iran / Iraq) and the music video shows certain of these situations.

The verses use the same form of words to rhyme, but each verse has "its own identity through its musical color". "The first verse is smooth, in contrast with the second one in which percussion are very marked". The song is also available on Balavoine's posthumous greatest hits compilations Sans frontires (2005) on which it appears also in a remixed version, and Les 50 plus belles chansons (2008).
